U.S. Naval Academy Yawl Vigilant
Vigilant was designed by Luders Marine as one of twelve identical boats to be used by the United States Naval Academy for sail training. Built in 1943 by Mount Desert Boat Yard in Maine, she was the final of the twelve 44 foot yawls built. Working in partnership with Plankters our work consisted of installing a new carlin, replacing a split stopwater, installing a new mitered transom and transom framing, and reefing, re-caulking and leveling the teak deck.
