Seefeld Boatworks understands that classic wooden boats require extra care and good taste when it comes to finishing of any kind. We will recommend the best approach to finishing, based on your boat’s condition, materials, age, and style. If your finish is still in fair condition, we can restore it with refresher coats and continue to do so as part of a regular maintenance program. If an old finish is in poor condition, stripping back to bare wood is part of the normal course, followed by fairing the surface smooth.
We specialize in the application of traditional, time-tested products to really help a boat look its best and stand up to the weather. If any repair issues are discovered during a finishing project, we’re glad to offer many wooden boat repair and restoration services.
